Wings Cafe - Kansas City

This was my first visit to the restaurant and I placed an online order for the 6-piece naked lemon pepper bone-in wing combo and mac and cheese. Unfortunately, I did not check my order before leaving and when I opened my meal, I realized I had received six small drumsticks instead. The wing lunch combo was priced at $16.49 plus tax, which is understandable given the current situation with COVID-19, but the portion I received did not justify the price. The lemon pepper wings were only okay in terms of taste, but the mac and cheese was enjoyable. Next time, I will have to place my order in person or perhaps try something completely different from the menu.

I used to dine at this restaurant every week, but the quality has gone downhill to the point where I stopped coming. I decided to give it another try, but I regret my decision. I will not be returning. The flavors were off, the chicken tasted dirty and nothing like the buffalo wings I had enjoyed in the past.

My wife and I came here for lunch on a whim. We had never heard of this place before, but decided to give it a try. My wife ordered the fish sandwich, which was enormous. She said it tasted amazing. I decided to try the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was one of the best I have ever had. It had just the right amount of heat and a unique flavor. We will definitely be coming back here again.

I hate not giving a 5-star here, but I have to be honest. My ONLY issue with my order today was the fact that the sides that came along with the 18 wings I ordered was portion size. I paid $50+. That's a family meal. I shouldn't have to upsize to get a large side.And I have ordered 12 wings with fries and gotten twice as many fries as what I came away with today.I swear by Wings Cafe.I recommend it on the regular.This is a minor gripe that I hope ownership will consider.
