El Mezcal Mexican - Kansas

This is very solid tex-mex. Presentation was standard and unfussy. Pitchers of margaritas were strong and reasonably priced. My only wish is my tostada had came on its own plate to prevent sogginess.

Loved the vegetable fajitas that come on a sizzling player. The other food seemed strangely sweet and not very spicy. We had to ask for hot sauce to be added to all the dishes and my friend could not eat his enchiladas because the sauce on top was ridiculously sweet. I don't know if this is deliberately tuned for the locals' taste, but it is not the authentic flavour of Mexico I was hoping for.

I love el mez so much I keep finding myself at one. But I finding upsetting this location isn't even near as good than the topeka locations. Find out what topeka is doing so you can do better or be equal to them

Service was a little slow, even though they were not that busy

The staff knows me and what I always order which is the number 3 with chicken, but today no sooner then when I sat down the waiter comes out laughing with a to go tin plate with dried up beans and I'm guessing suppose to be my burrito and enchilada with no rice. So I ask him “so I don't get a plate!?” And with a smirk on his face he takes the tin plate and comes right back with the same food plus rice on a plate with this same smirk on his face like I can't tell what fresh food looks like..
