We booked a table for 3 at this restaurant the day before. Although I have to admit my first impression of the furniture was rather rural, we felt welcomed right away. The waitress guided us to our table, a cozy booth. She gave us time to get comfortable before she started to hand out the menu. While doing so, she informed ourselves about the chefs daily recommendation, which could not be found on the menu. The range of dishes is extensive, but we were given the time to study the menu thoroughly. In general the staff is very attentive, competent and super friendly all our questions have been answered to our satisfaction. For the starters we ordered: a green summer salad with crunchy bacon, chanterelles and tomato croutons the soups served three ways; a spicy lemon grass soup, a cold mango passionfruit bowl and a cold cucumber bowl grilled king rawns on a potato bacon salad Main course: Châteaubriand with bérnaise sauce, fresh vegetables and French fries to share for two(although we exchanged the fries for normal potatoes, but it could have been ordered with any side dish from the menu Lamb served three ways; lamb rack with a mustard herb crust, sirloin wrapped in crued ham and goulash on a paprika cream sauce, potatoes lyonnaise and summer vegetables Desserts: blood orange sorbet blackberry cake topped with fruits Before the starter a amuse bouche was served. I forgot what it was, although we discussed about it at length. But it was certainly very delicious otherwise we would not have talked about to try the combination at home once. The salad and the prawns were fresh and light and tasted extremely good. I know we are talking about starters, but they made us all exited about what is to come next. However, the soups in tree ways although perfectly interesting combinations and well prepared for my taste the mango passion soup was bit too sweet. The lamb three ways was in one word terrific . Well cooked and superb combination. OMG the châteaubriand served as it should be: 1. If medium is not your type you still can order it any gradations you like beforehand. 2. the cooked beef is presented to you once cooked and will be served in two courses. First course bigger than the second and we were asked when to serve the second round. Alone we received the same sides for both rounds was a bit a pitty, as I know restaurants that serve different sides so it does not get too boring : But the preparation made me starting to salivate (Homer Simpson style . Medium as ordered, pink and juicy but not bleeding when the meet was cut. It had a slight curst and I loved it so much, I ate it without bérnaise sauce. Certainly the deserts are homemade. I strongly believe restaurants serving self made desserts are the best. The cake simply delicious. A light and fruity combination for a cake. The blood orange sorbet is also a rather unusual compound and a adventure for your palatine. Without ordering it, our desserts were accompanied by a nicely arranged plate with different small sweets. In conclusion: We spend a wonderful evening in a restaurant which knows to comfort its guest by service and delicious food. The chef knows his/her business and certainly how to prepare meet. Was not our last visit there! We definitely will have become regular guests (frequenter . Well done to all the staff
