Huì Měi Shòu Tíng - Kao-hsiung

One of the best authentic Japanese restaurants of all kinds. The freshness of her food is almost all the other Japanese restaurants in my head! Really phenomenal!

We often visit this restaurant as they serve the best Japanese food in Kaohsiung, and the staff is very friendly with the owner from Japan. How serious the staff is is their food. It's really delicious! Their dishes are prepared for perfection without the exaggerated flavors found in other restaurants. Very authentic Japanese dishes. I recommend them to anyone who loves Japanese food. We love coming here.

I often go to the restaurant. Love the food they serve, fresh and neat. The service cannot be the best, but will be better. The price is reasonable, probably not cheap, but you get what you pay.

We visited this restaurant twice, once to try it and the second time to confirm our first impression. We will not visit again. First, the food was just okay. The rice in the set meal was difficult to swallow, as if the chef did not know how much water to add when steaming it. Neither the squid nor the sashimi fish tasted fresh. Second, the service was very poor. The menu is written in Japanese; therefore, if the customers do not read Japanese, they would have to endure the sneering attitude of the server, who would frown at the non-Japanese speaking guests as if to tell them do not visit again. Third, there was a lot of yelling in the restaurant: The server yelled at the owner's wife to get more ingredients from the storage; the person at the cash register yelled at her daughter for doing something; and an elderly lady yelled at her granddaughter for not doing something.
