These tacos do not taste like the ones I grew up with in Texas nor the ones I later had frequently when I lived in San Francisco, mainly because Alex doesn’t use garlic or onions to comply with Buddhist vegan traditions. But I’m so happy Wufu exists because it’s probably the closest I’m going to get anywhere in Taiwan. He adds Tabasco sauce if you want your tacos to be spicy. If only there were a ready supply of fresh jalapeños in Taiwan! He decorated the cart on his own, and the playlist will take you to a Latin American setting. He has a small seating space for two attached to his cart, so feel free to dine in. BYO dishware to be extra eco-friendly. I’ll look for his cart again next time I’m visiting Kaohsiung.
