It has a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home, with friendly and attentive service. The food is not only delicious and authentic, but it also offers great value for money. We stayed at Aulani, and it's just a quick 9-minute drive—totally worth it!
"This restaurant has a new location and has been here for 3 years. It’s in a great mall! They serve the best laulau I’ve ever had. Be sure to check the menu online, as their variety changes often. We ordered two mini laulau plates to eat there, but we couldn’t finish them. We also took home three pork and one chicken laulau, along with a pound of excellent kalua pork, which tasted authentic and smoky, as if it were cooked in an imu – definitely not like the wet kind made in a crockpot. The lomi was incredibly fresh and delicious!"
This is the best lau lau I've ever tasted, and the pipikaula was spot on! The chicken long rice I tried was a bit dry, almost like it came from the bottom of the pot, but I’m definitely open to giving it another shot because everything else was absolutely delicious. Seriously, the lau lau was the best!
Pretty good place. Went here when other places were really busy. Ended up getting the kalua pork because the laulau was sold out. It was really good and went great with a side of chicken long rice. However, the spicy ahi bowl was a little disappointing. Not enough spice, and didn't have much flavor. I had to dump shoyu on it. Maybe they do it that way on purpose? The tripe stew was excellent though! Tomato-based and super soft! Hoping to return one day to try the meats.
Wow, their laulau is massive and sooo good! I always get the mini plate #1 and it's always more than enough food that I have to take it home and finish it later. I've been there 3 times and only tried the pork laulau. I believe they have butterfish laulau on Tuesday and Friday so I'm trying to find time to go in and try it. The poke is fresh; lomi salmon and mac salad tastes the way it should. My son likes to get the pipikaula and kalua pig. Only giving them 4 stars because of the 3 times I came still never have pickled onion, and I really love squid luau, but their recipe is different (not as sweet and creamy like I'm used to), but to each their own taste. Order at the register and seat yourself kind of place. The service is friendly enough and the restaurant is still new so everything is nice and clean.
