Wonderful setting, old palace transformed in a luxury hotel. Open air restaurant with nice garden. Delicious and original food. Professional staff. Price probably expensive but unknown as the dinner was offered to us.
We stopped there on our journey for lunch. The food was wonderful, the hospitality was great and the presentation was unique. They served us on Banana leaves which is very sensible because that way there are no dishes to wash and therefore no water wasted. You just fold up the leaf when you are done and throw it out or give it to an animal to eat. The place is lovely and is also a small guest house if you so desire. A lovely place to stay.
Excellent & traditional mouthwatering chettinad food.Good service, Chef Karuppaya's food is good, particularly prawns fry.
This restaurant is in an old house and has a very historic and charming feel. The restaurant is set in a lovely garden, there is a pool and rooms to rent. The food is yummy with really fresh ingredients. They used an array of spices to enhance the flavor of the food. They prepared a special menu for our group so we could try everything. We had Peas Pulao, Chicken Kurma, King-Fish Masala Fry, Chow Chow Kooltu, New Potatoes Masala, Beetroot, Raita, Green Mango Sweet Pachadi, Mint and Potato Croquettes, Appalam (Pappad), Yoghurt, and Pickles. For dessert there was Tender Coconut Mousse or Ice Cream. Water, juice and soft drinks were included. There is no doubt you must try this place.
