Simply the best stopover east of Oudstshoon on Route 62. The pancakes and fillings were super-tasty and it felt like a little bit of Holland in the middle of nowhere in SA.
We absolutely love this place and make it our stop for breakfast or lunch on the way from PE to CT every single time. The food is amazing and the staff are friendly and helpful.
The Dutch coffee shake is a speciality. The pancakes are very tasty. I had the savoury bobotie pancake and the sweet cherry compote. Good for children as there is large lawn with a play area (slide, swing, see-saw, roundabout).
The Sweaty Dutchman is a very attractive and excellent bistro. Hans Pragt the owner knows how to make the best coffee and milkshakes and the pancakes are also incredibly tasty! For kids also a nice place to stop. A great place to take a break for motorcyclists, but also a must see for all travelers traveling between Cape Town and Port Elisabeth! The sanitary facilities are also clean and tidy. Visit the bistro in Kareedouw on Route 62 near the N2
