Update 2024: Still very tasty food and friendly staff. The innkeeper always has a casual saying. : We visited the restaurant on our Baltic Sea trip based on the previous good reviews. With a reservation it worked the next day, as it is always very fully booked and is a small restaurant. The service is very friendly, open minded and the food is top and really homemade. That's why we came here a second time. A real insider tip!

Today we were in the forest cottage for the first time. It was great. Very nice, good food, good value for money. We would love to come back. We wish you a nice company holiday and a great vacation. Thank you

We were here at the beginning of October and had reserved a table. But since we were already curious beforehand, we managed to get a table outside twice beforehand. The food was great and actually deserves 6 stars. The boss is funny and charming and we felt very comfortable there. The portions were really big and we will definitely be back. But be sure to reserve in advance, as the price/performance ratio is unbeatable...

Small and fine. Absolute comfort. Greeting from the kitchen, homemade lard, a dream. Steak au four, Hamburger Schnitzel and Rostbrätl ordered with Bratkartoffeln and Pommes. Really delicious. Especially the roast potatoes were a dream. The service was top. The best in Karlshagen. I can recommend this restaurant without restriction!!!
