I ordered a pizza margherita because I think as pizzaiolo, they can. show her talent best with the simplest ingredients. the basic was actually ok, even if it was not crispy, but fluffy as American pizza. the tomato sauce was terrible, because there was no taste, which was so in it, no seasoned just pure doses tomato. the cheese didn't even seem to be real mozzarella cheese, but diluted with Swiss cheese or some kind of processed cheese...an absolute no-go, my opinion after. and to complete everything before the cook drowned the whole pizza in a plucked olive oil. as far as the service is concerned, there was no one. Unfortunately, I will remember this place as a rather unpleasant, overcrowded little restaurant with under-average eating.
A few times I saw people eating pizza there and it looked pretty nice so I had to try. the cappuccino was in order and the pizza was delicious (a little on the fat side.) the teig is not. but comparatively thick, but so I like it! the pieces they breathe are quite large for the money they pay.
To come into this place was like flying all the way to italia in a second, everything is so italian, the smell, the pizza, the very friendly pizza type, the music, good everything. we took 2 slices (quadrat) pizza and Italian beer at fair price....We enjoyed the meal again.
This was one of our favorite places when we were used to carlsruhe. in recent years, it seems that the chef has difficulty keeping the standards. but at most of the places we had great food. this review is about our last visit in...April 2017. we were looking for something delicious but not full meal, as these places served pizza by discs, we though it would be perfect. it happened so that most of the pizza slices were sold out, but the chef was very incoming and offered to make new (personalized) for equal prices as discs! the pizza with caramelized onion topping is probably the best I have eaten!
Been there 2 times since I live 20m away. I was welcomed by a very friendly Italian owner. The pizza tastes outstanding! 2 very big slices for 5€ is unbeatable. The recipes for them are very creative and seem to be changing constantly. Authentic Italian...taste and great value for the money!
