Jhilmil - Karnāl

The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The washrooms were clean and well-kept. Overall, we had a great experience.

The food at this restaurant is of very low quality and the prices are as high as a five-star hotel. The staff do not seem interested in addressing any complaints about the food. This restaurant is located on the national highway in Karnal and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Awesome parathas and clean toilets. We went to this dhaba on the way to Hoshiarpur. The parathas came with white butter and pickles. The Muli parathas were delicious.

There are 3 zhilmil dhaba's below the Karnal flyover, and since I have not eaten at any other Zhilmil dhaba, this review is exclusively for Zhilmil Sher-e-Punjab dhaba which is the first among the three in the direction of traffic. What attracted me to it were neat and clean washrooms (a must in times of Covid) and special shop for Tandoor Kulhad Chai. The food was good too, though the options were limited. There is ample seating and parking capacity though everything is open-roof kind of arrangement. It is one of those places which gives you the taste of dhaba with the hygiene of any good restaurant, must try for all chai lovers!

While going to Himachal in the morning, we stopped here for breakfast. As always, we had diffrent types of stuffed paranthas, curd and tea. Very good taste and it is value for money. Rest rooms are neatly maintained. Overall, good place to have a break while travelling.
