So if you're the same as us, make sure you ask. But having said that we were very disappointed in the food. Everything was very oily, almost dripping, and the chips were soft, rather than being nicely brown and crisp. Maybe the usual cook wasn't on, and I usually don't like giving negative comments for a business, but in this case I feel it's appropriate.
Have visited this place once, food is great and price is reasonable so I didn't have any complaints. Overall pretty good !
My partner and I have been buying fish and chips from Banjos nearly every Sunday without fail. The last two times we have been majorly disappointed. The first disappointment everything was so greasy we couldn't eat it. The second time we thought we would give them the benefit of the doubt so we ordered again. I even told the guy about our last experience. We ordered Red Emperor at $12 per piece. This fish definitely wasn't red emperor it was so rubbery that we ended up throwing it out for the cat. There wont be a third time.
We asked for fish, chip, salt and pepper squid and chips. We got so much and it was all beautiful. Recommend to everyone.
Been here a few times (15-20) and have had fairly decent fish and chips each time. The portion sizes seem to vary by 50% and sometimes I get 2 pieces of fish, sometimes only 1. Before you go thinking that the one is bigger, it isn't.Now, the last 2 occasions I have been in I have seen it degrade considerably, today I was treated to a single soggy piece of frozen "red emperor" and chips. The fish was awful. Not sure what's going on but if you (the owner) don't lift your game you will suffer in a small town. Sort it out, Karratha deserves better.
