Restaurant Gutshof - Kassel

In a beautiful environment of a traditional German farm, located directly below the castle at the foot of hercules, and with the many michelin stickers at the door, we thought we were for a tasty egg. very friendly staff found us a nice table,... although we had no reservation on a Friday night. Unfortunately, I had to learn that eating in the microwave is prepared effortlessly. the undamaged pumpkin soup was warm in various stadia, it is still ok, but nothing outstanding and certainly no mention in the michelin guide. the main course came directly from the microwave, the meat was as warm in the middle and dry top, the 3 sauces with a beautiful dress up (indicating the microwave) and the meat water ran over my plate, merge with the sauces. the accompanying rösti were clearly frozen, sat in the frit. the salatbar deserves not another word, but “sad”. the wee was good. the staff was very nice, and as I sent my dinner back, they had the reason not to blame me for it. other guests in my group were also not impressed by their meals. none of us has plans to return to this restaurant.

We had a large group of 14 and they led us very well. the filet steak was very good and we enjoyed the wine especially. the others had dessert and raves about it.

Dining experiences are to be savoured in this restaurant. The food was timely and the service was brilliant, and the waitress knew English perfectly. The great setting at the bottom of the Wilhelmshohe Bergpark just added to the evening. Indoor or outdoor options, and the...ambience is fantastic.

From the movie beach we all want to find a piece of home when traveling. For me it means good food and wine. After a very low point on our first night in Kassel. We were so delighted to find Gutshof via mechilin guide....Exceptionally well selected wine list. When I say exceptionally it is. Believe me. Lam's rack is well prepared, tender and pink. Very lucky we could sit outside the whole evening and the owner was very attentive, dropping by from time to time. We came back the day afterwords which does not happen very often in our traveling as we love to explore. But yes when the wine and food are so pleasantly surprise I think I have found a piece of home in Kassel.
