But this place recommended to me by one of the locals is really great. The food didn't disappoint me at all. I enjoyed everything. Also the price of food is decently expensive. So don't compare. I have eaten in many places and they are much more with a bad taste. I would like to recommend going all for the Veg Dal Bhat Tharkali first (Photo #3). If your first time a Dal Bhat Tharkali tries. Else, go safely with a completely empty stomach before you refine on the chicken or mutton. Vegatables and rice are refillable. Please, Ghee. You bring Hot Boiling it and pour it on your rice and Dhal and your Thakali will next stage brilliant!!! Review: Non Veg Tharkali (9/10), Veg Thakali (7.5/10)
Thakali cuisine uses locally grown buckwheat, barley, millet and dal, as well as rice, maize and dal imported from lower regions to the south. Grain may be ground and boiled into a thick porridge that is eaten in place of rice with dal. A kind of dal is even made from dried, ground buckwheat leaves.
Had a bad service experience. Food was good except the chicken we had. It didnt taste good. The price is little high as per the food they served . I would prefer LETE more.
With a very Thakali type ambience, it is a very awesome place. The interior decor to the seating arrangement is quite nice. The Thakali set too is good enough. It's said that a thakali place's Authenticity is judged by its Vegetarian plate. The building has an underground parking but it's good enough for about 2~Vehicles.
I had a lunch in thakali kitchen first time, the food was ok but not as I aspect. I tried chicken Khana set, chicken curry was too ioly and less flavour and big one bone
