Zen-Sai Japanese Restaurant - Katoomba

Bookings recommended. As locals we have missed out dining here without a reservation in the past. The food was delicious and we tried a wide variety. The prawn Gyoza are the best I've tried. The salmon sashimi had a tiny bone but otherwise it was wonderful. The squid entree was amazing. The young waiter on Sunday night did an excellent job, very polite and respectful. He's another reason we'd come back. As a heads up; it is a cash only restaurant.

We booked in here for dinner. Although the food was a bit slow to come out and came out staggered, it was amazing. The menu has a great variety and very reasonably priced! Be aware that it's a cash only restaurant. We'd definitely eat here again.

My friends and I visited this restaurant on a chilly Tuesday night and tried the teriyaki chicken set meal. The food was delicious and the restaurant was cozy and warm. I would definitely recommend this place. The service was friendly and quick. It was quite busy for a weeknight, which suggests that many locals also enjoy dining here.

I love this restaurant. The food is always delicious and fresh. Only complaint is that they can be very slow! The food is worth the wait though.

Charming little restaurant with beautiful japanese food. Have never had a bad meal here and love the atmosphere in the cosy restaurant.
