My short ribs were a bit tough, and the hamburger steak was particularly tasty or moist, but the gravy was good, and the Spam Musibi was generously sized. I'm also a sucker for macaroni salad, which actually went well with the warmer foods. Took my youngest to lunch here and he enjoyed it.
Wow what a blast from the past!!! Awesome Hawaiian food here in Texas . From the Loco Moco to the Kailua Pork, all is great And what a friendly folks they have running it all.
I would say it was good. The plate was lacking. Ordered the mix barbecue plate with spam mushubee on the side. The plate was overseased with too much peper on the chicken. There was too much chicken (slightly overcooked) serving and not enough ribs. The spam was delicious. The overall serving portion on the plate was enough for me but seemed a bit less food than I had in the past.
Food was ok , what really made the visit to this location bad was the customer service … the cashier maybe in his teens was acting like he didn’t even want to be there … would just stare at the screen and not show any customer service skills … location had no ac and the floors felt like if they mopped with old dirty water because it was greasy everywhere… the service was no where near the vibe they are trying to give
At L&L Hawaiian Barbecue Katy Aloha! Found this gem while we were in Katy. Walked right in and the owner Asked if we had been here before and when we said we hadn't he brought a sample out of his kalua pork and chicken. It was melt in your mouth good! We ordered make your own combo with a choice of 4 different proteins. Kalua pork, chicken katsu, bbq short ribs and chicken is what we picked. It was on a bed of rice cabbage and a big scoop of Mac salad. We ordered extra because it was so good and we would have leftovers for later. We also couldn't for get the musibi's. We ordered our favorite spam and tried a katsu one. The owner was so nice he brought out a dessert he was wanting us to try as he was deciding if he should put it on the menu. It's a frozen berry sorbet in a orange skin and coconut sorbet in a coconut. Both cold and refreshing. Sad this place is so far away from me but the drive is definitely worth it. We have plenty of leftovers for later and all the food came in To go containers . Great service!
