Coco's Akihabara - Kawasaki

Do you need a place to hide away from the hustle and bustle of Akihabara? Well this large COCO's has got you covered. After working your way up a tight spiral staircase, and making your way inside you will be brought to place of respite. Plenty of seating, and a comfy atmosphere to make you feel welcome to stay. Clearing tables and moving you through isn't the goal here, and its a welcome change of pace from the perpetual rush hour feel of Tokyo. With plenty of curry rice options, some more western dishes, and a good amount of modern Japanese choices, you wont be looking at the menu long before you find something to satisfy whatever craving you are having.

We visited the restaurant after the dinner rush, didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes for a table. The staff was precise, fast and friendly they would've been communicating with us in English but we were speaking Japanese EU tourists). We ordered one of the Japanese hamburger steak options and it was delicious. It came out very quickly ~10 mins), it looked good and it was delicious. I took away one star because the side dish COCO's style french fries) was on our table 4 5 mins earlier than the main dish I can understand that the fries was a kind of entré but it felt weird we got different types of potatoes for the steak. Other downsides of the restaurant that it wasn't really cheap One could get a two big bowls of ramen in tbe vicinity for the same price).

We came here confused with 'Go! Go! Curry ' and got the CoCo curry. It was pretty tasty, and the fun of choosing your self-serve cafe latte and carrot juice is fun! It is just not amazing. Basically Japanese Applebees/Denny 's/Chillies. About $12p/p.

Decent food, not amazing and unlimited drinks. Not the best tasting, but worth it if you cant find anywhere else

Food is so delicious! food costs more, but it is justified by the large portion. must try!
