It’s an okay restaurant in highway while traveling from Kayamkulam to Alappuzha. Food quality is not so great. As the name suggests I couldn’t find any Majlis area (Arabic name for typical sitting and dining on the cushioned or carpeted floor for group dining or chatting) in the restaurant. We had chicken manthi from there and the rice they gave was the last remaining rice which had become like a cake.
The famous Kabsa-makers in the locality. This restaurant is famous over the internet through Social networking sites. Ambience is not very pleasing and there is meat smell inside the dining area, but the food they provide is appetizing and very reasonable which boost their fame. A half Kabsa is good enough for 2 people. There are family rooms, if you need privacy. No space is provided for parking but you can find enough space nearby.
This restaurant in Kayamkulam is the best choice for Arabic cuisine. I particularly enjoyed the kabsa dish served here. The ambiance is especially charming at night, and there is ample parking space available for both cars and bikes. The option to switch from kabsa to tandoori with kabsa rice is a unique offering that sets Majilis Caffe apart from other cafes. My overall experience was excellent.
The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Both the Kabsa and Mandi dishes were excellent.
