Went here tonight to eat and was told the place was CLOSED Permanently.Asked if she could recommend anywhere since I am from out of town.

In Omaha, adjacent to not only one, but two of The Big O's more interesting hoods: the Old Market and Little Italy.

This is a great little find in the area close to the college. Food is great and prices are reasonable. It is a must stop any time I'm in town. I love their stuffed baked potatoes with pork. Yummy! Make sure to ask for the tinfoil off of it...makes it easier when cutting the potato to not have that in the way. They have a wide variety of bbq options so you are sure to get your bbq fix here. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and can accommodate a fairly large group. They also have a drive thru for those wanting to get it to go. Only thing I'd like to see is a little bit sturdier plastic ware....it's a little flimsy.

I have eaten here twice. The food is pretty good and the sandwiches are pretty smooth. What do I mean by that? They aren 't overly chewy. They become smooth and soft by making them right and smoking them for a certain number of hours. The atmosphere is quaint and the service is pretty good as well. I do have one complaint. I ordered a root beer by the bottle and it was all foam. Don 't they ever drink it themselves to see if it is good?? As I sat it on the table, foam kept coming out and out. I complained and they didn 't do a thing except hand me some napkins. Is business that good? But, better than that, why not change root beer? There a plenty of great root beers available...Virgil 's for one. But other than that bad experience, it was a pretty good place to eat.

We stopped in at 1:30 not many people eating. The place is spotless. The brisket and pork plate was very good. Hot bbq sauce was not very hot st all but was good. The sides of beans and potatoe salad were good also. I recommend you give it a try. Good smokey flavor.
