We found it inedible and decided to return it. The owner was visibly annoyed but did take it back. He returned shortly with another hotdog that was also burned and cold, served without any condiments. I noticed he had my original hotdog with him, which he then fed to two dogs in a small pen behind the restaurant. We ended up eating just a few fries before leaving with only our bottled water. Additionally, the mini-golf course was in terrible shape. Overall, Humdingers was a poor representation of the charming town of Keene.
I strongly advise against visiting that place for ice cream. One of my friends had a soft serve ice cream there and described it as powdery and unappetizing. It's truly not a good spot for ice cream. Instead, I recommend the place in West Swanzey; it's far better!
This review focuses exclusively on the mini-golf experience, as we did not order any food or ice cream. The cost was $16 for two adults and two kids. Unfortunately, the course was in poor condition and very overgrown. Based on this experience, I will not be returning to play mini-golf again. I found it to be quite unsatisfactory.
The food is amazing. Much attention to detail. I had the perfect cheeseburger. Last time, I tried the Poutine. Authentic, because one of the owners was raised in Canada.
I took my two kids and although the course does need a little work, it was nowhere as bad as what all the other reviewers wrote! I’d expected a lot worse, and was pleasantly surprised. We had a great time, the food was good, and the guy that helped us was super friendly. We will definitely be back!!
