Golden Palace Chinese Restaurant

I thought perhaps I was being a little hypersensitive, I own I can be that way inclined from time to time however this Chinese restaurant is ridiculous! First the extremely rude woman who features typically in the majority of the reviews was similarly rude to me My friend had pizza from the restaurant next door so I asked to have my laksa in a bowl so we could eat together the lady said I couldn't have a bowl then I negotiated she wanted to charge me $5 for a bowl and spoon One thing I found interesting interesting I was the only customer

Dinner with my wife at the Golden Palace, I had Satay Beef, my wife, "sweet and sour pork" plus rice. The flavor was normal - not "wow" . I have tasted better Satay beef in a Hills District Chinese restaurant. Service was normal.

The man that takes the orders and serves you is completely arrogant and rude. The strange thing is , he is completely oblivious or just doesn't care. I have ordered take away and put up with his abrupt attitude but no more. Tonight I called at 5 minutes to 5 and the call rang out , I tried again and the phone was answered by mr miserable. " what do you want? Ring back at 5" and hung up" unbelievable how such rude people in business can survive. Food is OK , nothing to right home about.

Absolutely disgusted to buy my family a meal from here only to take the food home to find live German Cockroaches in our food !! I phoned Management who was quick to say come back and we will give your money back. Thankful for this but the health effects posed to my family and the overall thought of there cleanliness in their kitchen I will never ever return.

I ordered online and was told that I would be texted with an ETA for delivery. I pay $77.50 so obviously I'm expecting some decent kind of service, you know? I wait 30 minutes without having been texted, so I called the restaurant and spoke with a rude woman who was dismissive, rushed me off the phone and said it would be at least another hour. I wait an hour and twenty minutes, and call through to check where the order is. This person says they will check with the driver and will call me back after she speaks with them. She doesn't call me back. I wait ten minutes before calling again, spoke with an unhelpful rude man. He said it was on its way, and would be a few minutes but he didn't know where the driver even was. I then explained the terrible service to him, expecting at least an apology and for him to maybe say he would check with the woman (so it doesn't you know happen again). But he just tries to get me off the phone and asks me what i want, its on its way and that he can't do anything else. ridiculous staff, very unhelpful and insincere regarding their slow service. the food arrived 10 minutes later, mediocre at best and way overpriced. won't be ordering from them again
