This was the first time we tried Hilltop. It was expensive and unfortunately the food was not great. I couldn't eat my naan, it was dry and rubbery. We won't go back again.
Paul, the owner is a charming man who, with his son and team goes out of his way to provide authentic Indian food at reasonable prices. The venue has a welcoming ambience although relatively small........I prefer to say cosy.....or intimate. The menu is extensive and as one who has spent many enjpoyable visits to India (work) I know a good meal when I taste it. A great venue for families, or take out. Paul also has facilities for small private meetings.
A "traditional" feeling Indian restaurant and very busy with takeaways but I always go there with my vegetarian friend because they do a $20 individual plate and I can go meat and she can go veggie. The large plate has sections in it for everything, mine has chicken tikka and then two meat curries and rice, one nan and then a small sweet. It is filling and enjoyable and allows you to have enough for one without having to order multiple dishes for everyone.
We have returned to this restaurant for a take away recently with such high expectation from our past experience with them was excellent, However, this time, it is rather disappointing! We have ordered 2 entree, 1 main
