Very large sitting area so you are never waiting for a seat, even in the busy hours. Unfortunately I gave this restaurant 3* based on a couple of things. Had chicken noodle soup the other day (flavorless,) bread a few times wasn't as fresh as I expected but mostly the staff are kind of rude. I know it's busy at lunchtime but I would like a little extra friendliness when ordering my food. This doesn't apply to ALL the staff but the majority of times I have eaten here, I have experienced what seems like irritated staff members.
My daughters and I frequent Deli City for lunch on a regular basis. They always have a lunch special, which is great value, and fabulous food. Their thai soup is so incredibly good. I wish I had the recipe. mmmm Their breads and buns are baked in store. The staff is always friendly. Washrooms always clean.
I was told this restaurant was under new ownership and I must say the old owners were doing mush better. The food was old, you could tell it had been out for a few days in the display case, the service was slow and the dinning room was dirty. I over heard staff arguing in front of customers, there really isn't much options for kids but they are a family establishment, and the prices were too high for the quality of food and service received. I will not be back.
While the food is good and homemade but expensive, they need to work on customer service for interacting with their guests. Some of the same ladies have been there for awhile and you have to work at getting them to greet you. First impression has such a huge impact especially in the food industry. Getting to know your regulars
We have had catering services provided by our work from here. It was always a good spread so we decided to go in and check it out. I think catering events get the good stuff. Our sandwiches were dry, pasta salad tasted as though it was a good 4 days old - 2 noodles actually had hardened!Maybe we came in after a big rush as while most of the tables were cleared of dishes, there was food crumbs and condiments on most tables and dirty napkins and liners on the ground. Our visit was at 1:15pm.
