Los Jarros Cafe - Kelowna

Despite being located in the Rona store I kind of liked this place.

Great little restaurant hidden in Rona. Super fast lunch and was very tasty. I'll go back for sure.

Tucked inside Rona on Springfield Road in Kelowna, you will find what might be the best Mexican food in Kelowna. Owned and run by Mexican nationals, this little cafe style restaurant offers about a half dozen authentic Mexican dishes, and is phenomenal! My go to dish is the pork or chicken tacos. Served with beans, rice, guacamole, and some hot sauce, it is loaded with flavour and authentic Mexican style. You can also get either Jamaica, or (I think) Horchata to drink - which are traditional Mexican beverages. Summary: One of the best, if not the best, Mexican restaurants in Kelowna. Given that it's located in Rona, you may prefer to go to their West Kelowna location for a better experience, but for a quick, inexpensive lunch. there is almost no match!

It's crazy that there's an amazing Mexican restaurant in a hardware store but it's true, tucked into Roma is the best little place. I grew up in California where the Mexican food is plenty and I find Canadian versions to be boring and not as authentic. Los Jarros tastes like the real thing. There are a few options and they seem to switch them up. I've been probably 5 times and always enjoyed my meal. Great sized portions for a fantastic price. You must give this place a chance! I've heard they opened a second location on the West side, not sure if that has changed anything.

I used to work at the Rona where this cafe is located for several years and it is pretty damn good. It may not look like much, but it has it where it counts.The owners, Mario and Martha are super friendly. The food is very tasty and authentic. It can be a bit pricey, as I've seen the prices slowly climb and climb.I haven't been back in several months but I still dream of the burrito.
