Log Cabin Cafe - Kempner

Like another review has already said this place can be very bipolar. First time was great, this last and final time we were there there was a very distinct and strong smell of naphthalene throughout the whole restaurant. We sat there for an hour waiting for food in a restaurant with maybe 3 tables. This whole time I watched as some other customers that the staff obviously knew walked in, ordered and got their food, ate and then ordered again ate that and was paying their check. Needless to say we won't be back.

The service was very good. The food was excellent. Will definitely be back.

This place is very homey. The staff are always amazing. The food is your basic home style fair but made to order, and they dont fuss if you ask for accommodations due to dietary needs.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options are limited they do, however, serve Impossible patties for the vegie burger as well as breakfast all day, which can be a vegetarian option as well.
