Sunday for Mother's day they had live music that was very nice! I enjoy every visit! If you like Peruvian food and you are looking for a nice, family oriented restaurant, this is your go to place!!!!
I live in the area, and visited this place often. The food is excellent, maintains the traditional flavor of Peruvian food. Friendly service
This small Peruvian family style restaurant is located in a regular shopping center, their staff is professional and very friendly. It is claimed that the owner/chef, prepared dinner at the White House, and that is displayed in the front page of their Menu. Their fish Ceviche is delicious, as well s their typical fish dinner.
I took an out of town colleague to this place for lunch. I have visited before and once again it was not disappointing. Service is always courteous and they are helpful with recommendations. As with almost every peruvian restaurant, portions are big and food quality is very good. My only criticism is that there's no lunch menu and this makes for bit expensive meal (typical on most peruvian places). I had the pescado a lo macho and my friend had the lomo saltado. They were both nicely cooked, presented and very tasty. Don't miss the jalea mixta if you like fried seafood. It is also great. They can accommodate vegetarian needs also.
I am compelled to write this review because even though I am not Peruvian, I grew up eating authentic Peruvian cuisine. This place is a hidden gem, I have been to many Peruvian restaurants in Miami and there ceviche is amazing. This is a small restaurant, but don't be misled the chef is wonderful. There typical traditional dishes like Lomo Saltado( steak strips mixed with French fries)and their Chaufa de Mariscos(combination of seafood) is also delicious. There beer Cusqueña, has a nice light side to it complements the dishes well. There are some dishes that are family style and can be shared. The only complaint if that is that there Sangria is average and in my opinion expensive for what it is. As for the service, they are pretty good and attentive to your needs. Lastly, the pictures on the walls give you a nice feel and are pretty. Enjoy this hidden gem.
