Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken

Wow! This was the best food I've ever had! I have to give a shout out to Buffy, who helped me with all my questions thanks to her incredible personality and passion for the menu! That chicken was simply unforgettable—I'm never going to be able to eat anywhere else! The mac and cheese was creamy and flavorful, and the potato salad made me feel like I was at a family cookout. If they add banana pudding to the menu, I might never leave! Kudos to the team—well done! Thank you, Buffy!

The interior has the charm of a classic BBQ joint, complete with checkered tablecloths, although it feels slightly unfinished. While there are a few pieces of wall art, the decor is quite minimal. But really, you don't go to a restaurant just to admire the decor, do you? The food, however, is exceptional. The prices might be described as... ambitious, but once you take your first few bites, you'll find they are well worth it. The fried okra is absolutely perfect, and the fried chicken has that familiar crunch and flavor reminiscent of home-cooked meals. The service is prompt and friendly, making for a very pleasant dining experience. (A special shout-out to Anna!)

The chicken they serve is delicious—it's incredibly tender and juicy.

We went on a Friday evening and it was not particularly busy, but the food was absolutely amazing as was the service. We went with our 5 year old and 1.5 year old and the server was so kind and friendly with our kids. Easily the BEST fried chicken I’ve had in my life, and lots of kid-friendly options too. We’ll definitely return!

Had a GrubHub order. The fried chicken was okay. I got three sides. All were nasty baked beans, greens, mac and cheese. It tasted like something straight out of a box. I would not recommend. Got a pecan pie. It tasted like it's been wrapped in plastic for years.
