Koala Cove Cafe - KENNETT RIVER

Got to Kennett River for the Koala Walk, after a long drive in the rain, was so grateful to find a cafe with hot food! Great burgers and hot chips...

Lorne information center had suggested kennett river for koala spotting. We went to the cafe and were welcomed by two smiling young staff seems like working on term break :) The place has nice coffee and definitely not to miss the chips. They told us where to spot the koala so made it easier.

Had breakfast here, really good sandwiches and toasties, service good. Place itself is pretty basic, lots of tourist buses, all there for the koalas of which we saw but two, really high up in the trees, looked like blobs!

I've tried one the best pies in melbourne and that's it easy to find , the price it's also very worthy , the best part I can just stop there and enjoy the birds and have a look to the lazy koalas ???? ????

This is a simple cafe - also known as Kafe Koala - on the side of the Great Ocean Road. The trees around it are a pretty reliable spot for koala spotting - we wondered if they were tied to the trees...I had a burger which was excellent and my companions went for fish and chips. The chips I stole were also excellent.The staff were very helpful and friendly.
