Cuisine De By Poilane

This restaurant is a great option for a light meal. They specialize in tartines, open-faced sandwiches served on Poilane bread that is baked nearby on Elizabeth Street. You can choose to accompany your meal with either soup or a green salad. The dessert options change daily. The restaurant has a bright interior with large tables for groups and smaller seating for individuals. This can be convenient if you are dining alone, especially if you are shopping across the road at Peter Jones.

I used to frequent this restaurant often as I live nearby, but ever since the new manager took over a year or two ago, the service has become the worst in all of Sloane Square. The staff appear uninterested and uninformed, dishes and utensils are consistently dirty, and the quality of the food varies. The manager is exceptionally impolite and unwilling to accommodate substitutions for vegetarians. I recommend steering clear of this place as there are much better dining options in the area.

This cafe is located across from Peter Jones and offers a cozy atmosphere. The food is fresh, affordable, and perfect for a quick break while shopping. There is a small outdoor seating area in the back, and their banana bread is especially delicious.

If you happen to be near sloane square Chelsea then Poilane is a convenient cafe with a good design and usually a good buzz. The menu is very snack and based on their famous sour dough. There is also some salads and cakes. All in all it works and probably the best cafe around

We popped in here before the Chelsea Flower Show. The coffee machine was broken which was a let down but we decided to stay as the food was usually good. The service however was sub-standard; unfriendly and downright rude. No one bothered with us except to deliver our meals and even that was done in perfunctory and indifferent manner. I’ve eaten here many times before but standards, including the food sadly, appear to have skipped. Disappointing.
