Humphrey's - Kensington and Chelsea

I was on a business trip and decided to dine at the hotel restaurant, thinking that even though it's not usually exceptional, I couldn't go wrong with the Mushroom soup starter and Spaghetti Bolognese. Unfortunately, I was proven wrong. The soup was served with a dessert spoon because they were out of soup spoons, the bread rolls were stale, and the soup seemed to be pre-heated microwave food. The Spaghetti Bolognese was watery at the bottom, indicating it was likely microwaved, and they didn't have any Parmesan cheese, only chopped up bits of cheddar. The chef even said they had no Parmesan when I asked for it. My advice? Don't bother dining here, even if you're exhausted. Look for a restaurant that values quality to stay in business, as this place was a disappointment. The room was good, staff were nice and polite, but I suggest avoiding Humphrey's restaurant for food.

I have visited this restaurant 5 times while staying at the hotel. Unfortunately, on 3 of those occasions, I was completely ignored for over 30 minutes and ended up leaving. It seems like the "manager" is more focused on serving USA and Middle Eastern guests. There is a girl who often just stands at the bar and doesn't seem to do much besides chatting with other staff, even the off-duty ones who come in to hang out. However, I must commend one particular staff member (a young man with a beard) who is hardworking and deserves recognition. Since I still have another month here, I will not be returning to this restaurant again.

During our visit, the manager Abdell was attentive and treated us like royalty. His kindness and warmth were a rare find in today's world. Thanks to him, our stay at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel was truly exceptional. His outstanding customer service deserves a 10+ rating!

I’ve used to stay at millennium since 2014, the best hotel so far, the staff are super friendly. Abdell from the bar was super helpful, whenever I needed anything from the hotel he’s been guiding me through. I would like to thank him and all his co-workers.

Fabulous bar within the Millenium Gloucester Hotel, South Kensington. Extremely friendly staff who are nicely attentive and make your stay here a fabulous experience. Ardell and Anna where wonderful throughout my stay and made sure i was we’ll looked after. Thank You!
