La Belle Epoque

This is not your typical airport restaurant, it feels more like a high-end establishment you would find in Mayfair. The atmosphere is pleasant, although I heard that the venue will be undergoing a refurbishment soon. The staff were excellent, friendly, and well-informed about the menu. The food itself was top-notch, with delicious breads to start and a variety of imaginative and tasty snacks. The standout dishes included a fantastic venison dish and a daring chocolate assortment that showcased refined, intense chocolate flavors with light textures. Overall, it was a truly impressive dining experience with a kitchen team that is clearly at the top of their game.

Came back to Sofitel Hotel at LHR Terminal 5 and to a lunch meeting at La Belle Époque. My guests had the pan fried fillet of Atlantic halibut and the Roast breast of Challans duck which was perfectly prepared and delivered with fabulous service. The relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere actually makes the menu offerings even more enjoyable. The desert menu was welcomed by all especially the Dark Chocolate Mousse and the Banana Parfait with Almond Passion Fruit. I should have really tried the Cheese Trolley with the expansive offering. The overall experience was flawless. Huge congratulations to the staff at La Belle Époque for being so consistent on their delivery and much praise to The Chefs of this wonderful restaurant. A genuine winner!

A fabulous restaurant that merits its awards and is in my experience unique in an airport location. The food is totally superb and the modern decor is bright, airy and soothing. Service is very friendly and faultless. I had herb crusted monkfish with delicious accompaniments, especially a crab bisque. My wife had a chicken breast and a green apple mousse for dessert. I had the excellent cheese tray and a glass of port. Altogether a truly memorable meal. One of the best ever.

When looking for excellent location near Terminal 5 or Heathrow in general to meet and have lunch or dinner I would wholeheartedly recommend la Belle Epoque. I 'm a regular visitor and I 'm amazed by the food; we always take the lunch menu and it 's always a treat. The staff is pleasant and attentive, the athmosphere is at ease and you can have an discreet conversation. Parking is very close, the terminal to fly in and out too. A treat!

We pre-booked a Tasting Menu dinner at La Belle Epoque for our one-night stay at the Sofitel in early March 2017. We had no problem getting a reservation time and were seated promptly. The wait staff was genuinely happy to provide us with an extremely delicious meal at a pace that met our needs perfectly. We would highly recommend this restaurant whether you're staying at the Sofitel or not!
