La Chicana is THE place to go to eat delicious authentic Mexican food with an American twist! Tacos, tostadas, burritos, and Mexican rice and beans are served with great love and care! If it 's your lucky day, sometimes La Chicana serves THE MOST WONDERFUL tamales that I 've ever eaten! Water and soda pop is also available for an ice cold drink with your meal. La Chicana serves at various locations: The Kalamazoo/Portage area and surrounding areas, as well as at festivals, and birthday and grad and block parties...and wherever else people might request. La Chicana means, The Strong Woman. La Chicana, is a best friend of mine, and she truly IS a strong woman! She does all the cooking and set up and serving for her cart to give her customers the best food and service they could ask for. They were at a food truck rally and had THE BEST pork tamales!!! I don't know if she has tamales regularly but they are amazing.
Enjoyed a great plate of Mexican food. Rice was prefect and so was my taco. Great job ... Hope to stop in often!!!
