La Conchiglia - Kerpen

With probably too high expectations on the basis of recommendations, we visited the ristorante la conchiglia in Kerpen-Sindorf on a Tuesday, where we expected a large parking lot, but was quite empty.The restaurant itself was nicely furnished but also empty. in case of seats for estimated 40 people, except us (5 people) were present in the course of the evening only 8 other guests were alternately present.Also it was quite cold at the beginning, which is why we had to close a window.The waiter was alone this evening, but did not really work overwhelmed. the service was also not excessively fast, but within the frame. To the foods: on the homepage of the restaurant it is already advertised that individual wishes would not be a problem. so we asked about the ominous 3-course Tuesdaysmenu. the included one of two selectable front and main dishes. this was a delicious sweet and vitello tonnato as well as as as a main dish twice what with pasta - what we did not find so variety- or ingenious.We then decided against the menu and ordered carpaccio and vitello tonnato as an appetizer and pizza as a main dish with an salad as a garnish. the prices are moderate and after about three hours we left the restaurant where you can pay with card as well as cash.Everything recommended, but not the sensational top place when it was recommended to us.
