I kept passing by this restaurant and finally decided to stop and have a meal. The food was excellent....definitely quality over quantity! Fresh ingredients and visually appealing! The restaurant is small and quaint! I would highly recommend you put it on your list of restaurants to try and frequent!
My husband and I were passing through Keswick and wanted to have lunch at a place that wasn't a multinational conglomerate so when we saw the Casa Autentica Mexican Restaurant we decided to go in. We're so glad we did! Service was fast and attentive. To drink, alongside the usual offerings, we were offered fresh homemade watermelon juice, freshly made iced tea, and a good selection of Mexican soft drinks (I believe they were Jarritos). For our meals my partner had the chicken fajitas and I couldn't decide so I had a plate that had a beef tostada, a chicken chimichanga and a barbacoa (shredded beef) burrito. Both plates were attractively presented with lots of fresh, crisp salad, sour cream and salsa, the portions were just right and the food was delicious. No room for dessert, more's the pity! Next time we're in the area we're definitely going to visit the Casa Autentica Mexican Restaurant.
I don't know what the other negative reviews are about. Hubby and I are foodies and we are both very impressed with everything we ordered. The Tortilla soup, seafood ceviche, the burritos, chimichanga, chicken mango salad were all very fresh and delicious! We cannot believe we only just discovered this restaurant. We throught the price is comparable with the portions and for Keswick. We also cannot say enough about Spiro. He is like a friend and make sure we are happy and would accommodate with special needs. Will highly recommend this and will come back again and again.
We have eaten here several times. The food is wonderful here. I especially like the Acapulco Ceviche and their Burritos. Unfortunately I think because the palete of Keswick is very limited this place will have some difficulty surviving as a Mexican only restaurant. They do make a good breakfast but not many folks know about it and it is pricey. If I was them I would expand my lunch and dinner menu to include some other staples until the population increases around here. All the best.
