It was our first time visiting, and we decided to try the Tuesday pie night special. The service was top-notch, with a lovely lady named Dominee providing attentive and friendly service with a smile. The food was not only hot and delicious but also came with a complimentary drink, which was a nice touch. The only downside was that the pie portion was on the smaller side, and it would have been great to have a selection of vegetables included in the meal instead of just a small serving of peas for the price. Despite this, we were overall impressed and would certainly return for another visit. Thank you.
Another superb meal at The George at Ashley. Pork tenderloin, pan fried duck, sea bass all cooked to perfection. Superb sauces. Really tasty starters. Highly recommended. And fantastic value for money.
Went with another couple on a Wednesday which was steak night and oh my, it did not disappoint. The steak was incredible, peppercorn sauce just right, lovely fresh off the vine cherry tomatoes and the chips seasoned perfectly. Will definitely be returning to try the ala carte menu and more steak nights!
We had one of the best ever Sunday lunches yesterday at the George. The roast potatoes were particularly delicious and the whole meal was excellent. Just the right amount of everything and plenty of gravy. Would highly recommend it and priced very reasonably.
Last night, we visited the restaurant after being intrigued by their new a la carte menu for October. We had a fantastic meal, especially enjoying the perfectly cooked and presented venison. It was a joy to eat.
