I took it back and they heated me up another pre cooked one, hard black and dried out. A waste of money, they ought to try eating one, they would either learn to cook one tender, or take it off the menu !
The food and service at this restaurant were excellent. The hotel was also great, with a comfortable bed and private bathroom. I have recommended this place to everyone traveling up the East Coast. Everything was amazing and much better than a typical hotel. Whoever transformed this hotel into such a welcoming and wonderful place did a great job.
During my Christmas stay in the area, I came across this hidden gem of a restaurant! It has transformed greatly over the past 30 years. On a day after Christmas, the place was bustling and I was informed of an hour wait, which I didn't mind at all. My family and I had previously waited over an hour at a fish and chips shop in town for subpar food, so we were willing to wait for something better. We found a nice spot in the beer garden, where the kids played and we all enjoyed our meals. The burgers, tacos, and kids' meals were all delicious and exactly what we were hoping for in a pub meal. We returned on our way home and once again had a pleasant experience with friendly staff and top-notch food. It's clear that the local family who runs the pub has put a lot of effort and care into restoring this old establishment. We will definitely be back to support this lovely family pub in a charming little spot. Great job to the owners for creating such a wonderful dining experience!
It was rather busy but after waiting for over an hour we were served with battered fish chips and salad which looked like they were just warmed up from a frozen Coles pack. The kitchen was operated by young kids and the food tasted accordingly. Couldn't get a table to sit on even outside. Give it a miss.
Went here on a Tuesday night for family birthday dinner. There are no weeknight specials as they advertise on their Facebook page. Except for Wednesday apparently. The waitress that served us was absolutely brilliant. Very friendly. As for the menu it was dissapointing. I had the prawn linguine which was loaded with so much chilli that you couldn’t taste the prawns. Quiche Lorraine microwaved. Side salad great if you like just greens. That’s it. Nothing else. I emailed them to book and still havnt got a reply 2 days later. It’s just an average pub with very average meals. Chef looked as though he didn’t want to be there. Wont return.
