The food is very fresh but I would not recommend coming here if you are in a rush because they do take a while to come out with your food. This is something that is a written warning on the menu. All of the meals were very tasty and they had Vegetarian and GF options.
Food is delicious and high quality. Waitresses are friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating. Try the arepas and the desserts!
Ok place, nothing overly special. Came for brunch, had waffles with berries and melted chocolate. Waffles were really good, berries nice and fresh but the chocolate wasn't melted, had to wait on the waiter to go heat it up. Ordered iced tea before the waffles, had to ask for it again, finally came when I was almost finished the waffles. If you as the owner read this, the waffles were great Syrup would have been nice, a bit more chocolate and $6 for an iced tea is ridiculous . Adding an 18% tip but not telling your customer before swiping the card is bs. The waiter had a hand held card reader, just told me the total, I had to ask if they added a tip because he didn't hand me an itemized bill first.
This place is a go-to for breakfast arepas! They have a large variety or arepas available, even vegetarian ones. I think the sandhich quality has gone down a bit.. the bread isn't the same anymore. However, they continue to be good sized sandwiches for 1 person. I always get the bolarepas and the mini empanadas to start. Price is high but it's Key Biscayne so it's not too shocking. There is parking in front of Artisan but sometimes can get very busy.
Food is great....but service is awful. I got the wrong food and then was chastized about not getting a credit for it for not returning it. The manager said he knew it was wrong, but did not say anything to me. He waited for me to notice. SO WRONG!!!! I told him its not what i ordered he said i needed to return it before i but into it (if you know an arep, you cant see it from outide and know stuffing is wrong. Good place, but Key Biscayne (and Miami) is about service !! Its not a fast food. $15 for an arepa, make sure its right or dont hassle me if i you know its wrong. This isnt Venezuela where the owners dictate This is USA the customers need to be treated fairly and reputation goes far. They have a lot to learn shame!!
