The Fishermans House

My family ate here on a recent trip to Key Largo and had a good time. The place gets crowded and the tables are packed in but the funky, kitschy vibe makes it all work. Good fish dishes and desserts. The service was fast and friendly.

The fish (grouper and snapper) and shrimp we had must have been cooked then frozen maybe, as it was dry and tasteless. Very noisy too

Fresh seafood, served quickly by a very friendly staff. Excellent variety of fresh LOCAL fish. Several different preparations are available. They do a great pan-seared fish. Kitchy interior, you'll think you're in an episode at Bikini Bottom.

Best fresh fish I’ve ever had, and I’m 53. Mahi Mahi done “Hemingway” which is lightly breaded in an amazing white cream sauce. Wife had Lobster Ravioli and loved it as well. Huge portions, cozy atmosphere to boot. Must visit if in Key Largo.

We ate at three other restaurants and wish we did not. The food was excellent place full of locals how do you know the wait staff seemed to know everyone. It is a little loud and crazy in there but oh my goodness good.
