Server had to be asked frequently about utensils napkins drink orders etc. The big shocker was the huge difference in prices since January. The people who shared the table with us complained as well and had a talk with the manager.
I have missed traditional Benihana when I saw it we had to stop in. It did not disappoint.
We are regulars here at Benihana. The chef we had very nice but rushed through cooking our dinner. I am pregnant and I didn't even eat my food because it wasn't cooked all the way. I didn't want to eat it and get sick. Every chef we get has been great . But the chef last night, I hope we don't get him again. Our server wasn't attentive at all but she was very sweet. The bartender is amazing as always. Knows our drinks every time we come in. We will be back again soon but just wanted to share our experience from last night.
It’s all about the garlic butter! My taste buds more than enjoyed the food but I can’t say the same for my cholesterol. It is a great place to go for special occasions. The staff is awesome. The wait for a table was not very long, about 20 minutes.
Honestly really great food, but the service was a major let down. The menu clearly states all hibachi orders come with the usual courses (soup, salad, shrimp, rice, entree). Unfortunately this places charges to upgrade to fried rice. Per the waiters words “there is an up charge for fried rice.” Once again, unfortunately, that statement is false, as the up charge for rice is the same price as an additional side of fried rice. For example, a side of fried rice is 6.40 and the up charge fee from white rice to fried rice is also 6.40. Now how is the up charge the same as an additional side of rice ? Wouldn’t the up charge be 2, 3, 4 dollars? Not the price of a whole additional side. When bringing this to the managers attention, rather than taking responsibility for the confusion he said I must of misunderstood what was being said. Then proceeded to remove only half of the double charge and expected that to fix the situation. Like I said, it’s pretty good food at a steep price, just be ready to stack on a few extra bucks for all the hidden fees and “misunderstandings” that may occur.
