Pisces - Key West

Friendly and effective service, amazing dining experience, highly recommended.

Wonderful food in nice environment. We spotted the place and more or less decided to go there based only on the look of the front towards the street, the reviews on internet pushed us all the way. The food we got was well presented plate, not too big portions and it tasted wonderful, and we also got good recommendations of wine. There was no kid's menu but we expect that a restaurant like this can improvise around its'menu to make kids portions, we bought starters for kids. The waiter could also have been better, especially since the restaurant only was half full and that should have given him more time for those guests that are there.

On our last visit we were a little disappointed. Food definitely NOT extraordinary. Not a great value.

Very good food, not insanely great food. But our visit didn 't measure up compared to similar fancy restaurants elsewhere. The wait staff was great and the restaurant knows how to do gluten free very well if that is something you need or want (the chef has chosen that as his own diet). Their wine selection is reasonable but not amazing and this was one disappointment: they don 't appear to have a sommelier so my pairing suggestion given by my waiter was not the best idea. Portion sizes are large. Most fancy restaurants do not serve you this much food. Be prepared. Save room for their signature gluten free chocolate cake dessert. Unlike so many restaurants this is not an over rich sugar heavy filling lump of a cake. We went in hoping for five stars. Sad to come out with only four, but we do not regret going. Next time we 're in key west perhaps we 'll try Fin instead for our fancy meal.

A very enjoyable evening from the appetizer to the dessert. we specialized in the specials on a busy saturday night and were not disappointed. the crab and lobster bisque had wonderful west indian spice overtones, while the fresh fish-halibut, snapper, grouper had the same. try the homemade custard ice creams for dessert. the staff was knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive. the wine list is also very good, considering the location.
