Japanda - Kigali

When it comes to the question of taste, quality, consistency and affordability, I will place Japanda as my No.1 restaurant in Kigali. I love their Donburi dishes especially the Teriyaki BBQ Chicken Donburi. The chicken is always so tender and juicy with a light smokey flvour. Your slightly flavored soup with shredded tofu and black sesame fills my soul every time I take a sip! Your rams and Yakitori are just as good. This Japanese restaurant source all its ingredients from Rwanda and all dishes are prepared by trained Rwandan chefs. Very clean, clean and child-friendly! You have baby seats and the food is great! A Japanese oasis with a cozy garden! The waiters are polite and attentive!

Japanese ramen place. I wasn't that hungry so decided to just try their tofu dishes since it's homemade. Pretty decent tofu but not the smooth type. More like firm. Ginger onions on top was nice. If you order the tofu, mix the ginger onion into the sauce first before dipping the tofu unless you like the strong ginger onion hit for taste (which I liked). The simmered pork was good, enough fatty pork. However, the homemade soy ice cream had too much nuts and not creamy enough.
