I had the pork belt in sauce with Basmati rice amazing. Great service. easy on prices and truly authentic flavors. I come back to try all the dishes and usually I'm not a fan of Indian food. These guys also own the HUT restaurant in town. You know what they're doing. The staff is beautifully trained. Yus
Update: March 5, 2019 I ordered to take Masala St through Jumia, and I was pleasantly surprised when the food was sent out in 20 minutes, and I eat in about 40 minutes. This is the fastest delivery I had in Kigali. The Punjabi Chicken Tikka Biryani was delicious; the pieces of meat were all juicy and well marinated. It is one of the best if not the best biriyani I had in Kigali. I also order pork momos pan fried they were also excellent. The Chutney was similar to what we get from Northeast Indian restaurants. ORIGIN OF BELOW HERE. Excellent service. The waiters were very attentive and felt really interested in service. When we wanted to talk to the cook and he was busy, they kept us informed that he was busy and would be with us as soon as he can. The ambience is beautiful, although it does not have the standard Kigali view. Now about food. Let me list the better part first. The Pani Puri was excellent. The ghee dosa was good. The Malabar parotta was fine, with the exception of being chew, yet the best I had in Kigali. The chicken 65 was OK. The Masala in the masala dosa was not good. The Vada was heated again or not fried accordingly, and it tasted of raw dough. The Uttapam was almost burned. The chicken in the chili chicken was soggy, and the base had too much strength. The American Chop Suey was terrible; they have a disclaimer in the menu saying that this is the Indian version, I ask to distinguish the soggy Concoction that they gave us, does not represent the Indian version of American Chop Suey. With so many cheaper Indian restaurants around the two, USPs I see the ambience and excellent service here. For me, food before these two elements in each restaurant. Even after they were undercooked and burned food, they did not have the courtesy of not asking for it. I don't count this against the service, because this is a management decision and no service problem. Disclaimer: The owner of the mentioned restaurant is a very close friend. Maybe I didn't give the five stars if I didn't know them and wanted them to try better. Given the fact that the cheaper Indian restaurants in Kigali have better management agreements, I expect to sit more from the price-point of this restaurant.
The place is very nice and the staff is very friendly. The best price among all restaurants in Kigali. Eating taste really good. You do not have many options in the menu, but the thing that I love is when you explain to them what you need, they will do it for you.
Beautiful detailed decoration. Great service, Mark was one of the friendly servers in Kigali. Hot n Sour Chicken was nicely seasoned and the vegetable friend rice was very delicious.
Nice ambience and location. Very tasty food and a good spread of Indian dishes on the menu. Definitely recomended. Slightly pricey when compared to other restaurants in the area.
