We were able to get a table outside for two with premium sunset viewing without a reservation (around 5:15pm). Leanne (our server) was busy, but very attentive and a good photographer for our sunset couple shot. The Ahi on a rock was great and a fun experience to sear your own fish. The flat iron Kobe beef was very flavorful and a great choice. The seafood Lau Lau was excellent! And the Molokai sweet potato mash was an awesome addition. The lemongrass coconut broth was great! We did receive the incorrect dessert, but it was our number two choice so it was not an unpleasant surprise. It was lillikoi cheesecake and delicious. The mocktails we're also great. Thanks for a great experience. We highly recommend
Lavender honey shrimp lightly and perfectly breaded: lots of lightly sweetened fresh lavender flavor. The catch of the day was fresh and wonderful served with macadamia but pesto and asparagus. And the seafood Lau Lau was delicious! Broth was coconut flavored and nicely rich
We went for happy hour. The apps were large enough that three for two people made a meal. Now they weren't cheap but the quality was excellent. Then we wandered around the grounds and eventually watched the sunset. They valet parked us for free (ignoring the tips to the valet).
Great food and service. Wish there was some sort of bug repellent. Try their deserts amazing. Worth the trip to and would highly recommend.
The atmosphere, service, and food quality were all incredible. We loved our time at Kō and wish we could eat here all the time! We were visiting Maui from Pennsylvania and were told we had to try this place. We made sure to book our reservations several months in advance and it was more than worth the wait. The front house hostess was so sweet and efficient. She personally thanked us for coming to visit Kō, even though we weren’t staying at the Fairmont, which was so nice of her. Ryan (I think that’s his name) was our server and did an outstanding job of making recommendations. He seemed so genuinely happy to be there and was telling us all the things he loved about Maui. And then the food; It was delicious, creative, and filled with so much aloha. We wanted to try very traditional Polynesian food, so Ryan recommended the laulau with poi. Let’s just say it was easily one of the most amazing fish dishes we’ve ever had in our lives. The flavors were so rich, warm, and satisfying. You can really tell how the chefs pour their love for creating and Hawaiian culture into their work. It was such a special experience for us on our honeymoon and we will never forget it. Mahalo nui loa to Kō for everything!
