We didn 't have a booking and just chanced our arm getting one considering its the week before Christmas, but the girl on the door was SO accommodating and welcoming. She made the whole experience even more memorable as herself and her team really looked after us. People can be quite picky with tables but in The Tanyard I don 't think there is any bad table. The whole place is fabulous and there 's a lively vibe around it. There clearly is a lot of thought put into every detail around this intimate, warm restaurant. I absolutely loved the decor! We enjoyed a pint of beer and a glass of delicious Shiraz with the most gorgeous homemade selection of breads, served with olives and various dips. We were raving about the focaccia and tomato butter! Next up, we shared the chorizo manchego croquette, which too was divine and something I would return for in itself. For mains, I got the venison while himself had the duck both served with a portion of beautifully buttery mashed potato. I rarely can finish my mains, but I couldn 't leave any part of this behind, it was so tasty. Empty plates all around, an exquisite, 10/10 experience that I will be sharing with friends and family for years to come. Looking forward to my next visit already!

What an evening. Beginning with a warm and polite welcome from Sarah, the whole evening was a joy. Excellent food, great wine, a wonderful playlist at the right volume, the Tan Yard is a place we’ll be coming back to again and again.
5 out of 5. We all love it. The ambience is great. Food is amazing. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. I always love trying new dishes and the ones we had in the Tan Yard were superb.... Vegetable scallops were really good. Roasted Cauliflower dish was great company to duck breast. We'll done to all.
My wife and I dined at the Tan Yard on the recommendation of some friends and we were delighted with our meals. We started with cocktails but moved quickly into devouring the delicious tempura vegetable starter, upon which we descended like a pack of hyenas felling a wildebeest. My wife’s main course was the Mushroom Pithivier, which she still raves about. I had the 8 oz. Irish Hereford fillet, prepared to perfection one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. The servers were friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. Wasted no time expressing thanks to our friends. Can’t wait to eat there again.
