They claim to be a renowned fish and chip shop, but there seems to be a discrepancy between what they say and what they actually offer. Can they clarify what exactly they are famous for? Perhaps it's their slow and poor service? It's surprising that a chip shop in Donegal doesn't have cod, as it can easily be found fresh in various places. The service here is painfully slow and not worth the wait. It's best to avoid this place and look for better options elsewhere.
Known as Duffy's, this place receives praise in the city. It isn't exactly a restaurant, but customers can sit at the side tables and enjoy their meal. The staff is very pleasant and friendly, serving freshly cooked meals that only took about 10 minutes to arrive. We both ordered the squid, but I was disappointed to find many bones in mine, which was a total turn-off for me.
I was passing through Donegal city and decided to give this place a try. If the food was bad, I wouldn't come back. The menu is extensive, so there should be something for everyone. We ordered fish bites and chips, a chicken burger, sausage, and a kebab. The chips were fantastic and I almost couldn't finish my meal, even though I was hungry to start. I will definitely be returning!
I love fish and chips. Eaten them all over Britain. These were the second worst I've ever had in 60 years. Maybe the burgers are better.
