The Nest - Kimberley

I had a wonderful experience at The Nest. Wanting to indulge a bit on my day off, I enjoyed a lovely dinner solo. The food was fantastic, and the ambiance was cozy, intimate, and elegantly simple. Neill, the host, was delightful. I'm already looking forward to returning as often as I can whenever I'm in the area.

This restaurant is no longer genuinely in business. Despite its claims of being open for brunch, lunch, and dinner, we made a special stop during our road trip for brunch, only to discover a sign at the entrance indicating that reservations are required for all meal times. There was no information provided about when we should call. We tried to contact them by phone, but there was no answer. It seems they might only open for reservations made well in advance, but there’s no way for potential customers to find that out. It's also unclear if they would accommodate just a single reservation. Overall, the situation is quite confusing.

I recently had a lovely late Mother's Day brunch with my mom, aunt, and girlfriend. The food was amazing for the price, and the decaf coffee was a real treat. The vintage vinyl records playing classic songs had my mom and aunt singing along and sharing fond memories. The service was exceptional. Thank you to everyone! We will definitely return!

Be sure to make a reservation in advance—this restaurant is definitely worth a visit! The food is amazing, with hearty portions (I had the duck confit, and my husband opted for the steak). The vibe is very relaxed. The flavors are delightful, and the dishes are genuinely unique.

Absolutely amazing! The flavors are incredible. The chef is outstanding, and the service feels very personalized. I really appreciate the thoughtful approach to reducing waste through reservations and pre-orders. It does require a bit of a change from our usual fast-paced lifestyle, but it's definitely worth it. I especially enjoyed the Pear Gorgonzola Flatbread and the bone marrow appetizer.
