Ordered dinner for the family tonight, was blown away how good the meal was. Excellent food and portions. Very helpful/pleasant staff. Will definitely return, very impressed.
This place is as authentic Chinese as it gets. I am Chinese and we had to stop on the way back to Ontario ... The owner is so nice. We ordered bbq pork fried rice, sweet and sour pork and shanghai noodles. It tasted so good! What a pleasant surprise. 5 stars for great quality delicious food.
We were traveling through Kindersley which isn’t usual and we really wanted Chinese food. We knew it would be a risk. There was only one Chinese food place open so we gave it a shot. It paid off. We were the only ones eating in so everything came piping hot. Wor wonton soup had great homemade flavour in both broth and wonton. I can’t handle a lot of salt either. It wasn’t salty. Chicken chow mein was the star of the meal. Highly recommended. Fresh. Chicken didn’t have “warmed over flavour” which sometimes happens at sub par Chinese restaurants. Again, salt (or soy sauce) wasn’t used to compensate for flavour. Egg rolls had great fresh filling of mostly meat and some bean sprouts. They were a bit greasy, but filling made up for it. Crab Rangoon was recommended by a guy ordering take out. I don’t like fake crab, but the filling had good flavour. A bit too much deep fry wonton wrapper though. Chicken fried rice was good. Also not salty which is often the case with fried rice. Sweet and sour pork was also good. Deep fried shrimp had too much batter for the size of shrimp. The exterior of this place isn’t very applealing and it smells a bit musty inside, but that wouldn’t deter us from going back again when traveling from Saskatoon. Some of the other reviews said the older lady serving was terrribke. At first she wasn’t very happy, but we decided to try the reverse technique and be really nice and appreciative. At first she was taken a back, but after a few times she started smiling and seemed to appreciate that we were thankful for her service. On the way out she seemed quite happy.
Good food with new owners and priced right lots of flavour only thing was the batter for the chicken balls and shrimp was heavy not fluffy like it should be it was like biscuit dough deep fried not nice
