They were sweet, fresh, and well-prepared. It's hard to imagine finding a better meal at a street food stand.
I ordered a steak and hamburger, but I never received it. Two hours later, while driving north in my car, I suddenly felt very ill. I suspect it was food poisoning. I wonder if it was caused by improper handling of raw food, and then using the same utensils to serve cooked food. Not a good experience.
I ordered the hot spicy chicken, but I regretted it. It was tough and I couldn't even finish it because it was too unpleasant. I had to eat again shortly after arriving home because I was still hungry. I will stop at Royal Town on my way, but I will not eat here again.
The Teriyaki experience was a beautiful surprise. I ordered spicy beef udon suppe; While I often make this home, it's not almost so delicious. the bark and the broth were unexpectedly high quality. my daughter ordered panasic garnels and, unusual for them, almost finished. it seemed a long wait in the line when we traveled, and the plastic spoons were embarrassing to eat broth. maybe a bit expensive if the rest of the family had been with us, but for 2 people it was a tasty bite.
Stopped at the On Route Rest Stop on Highway 400 north of Toronto for lunch and decided to try the Teriyaki Experience as opposed to a burger, sub or sandwich/donut combo. What a great change. Ordered the Spicy Udon Noodle Soup bowl. Before I finished...paying for it, the cook had the ingredients cooking on the flat top in front of the counter and within a few minutes it was ready. Reasonably priced, fast and friendly service, great tasting and healthy food. I will definitely be back to try their other food selections.
