El Ranchero Mexican - King George

Wow! We were looking for a restaurant off the highway for a good meal as we travelled to New Jersey. We found this place and decided to try it. The chips and salsa were delicious. The menu was varied and colorful with images of their most popular dishes. I settled on the Torta, one of my favorite Mexican sandwiches. Service staff was cordial and polite. When my food arrived, it was warm, generously-portioned, and delicious! The ingredients were fresh, the presentation was nice, and the flavor profile was familiar with what I expected but better with their take on the sandwich. The meat was seasoned well. The bread was grilled to perfection. Every aspect of the meal and every single detail was perfect. My two buddies also greatly enjoyed their meals too. You better stop off and get some top-tier Mexican if you are in the neighborhood!

King burrito and shrimp taco were excellent. The chorizo, shrimp and chicken were delicious. Service, as usual, was friendly and professional. Good prices and generous portions.

King George's hidden gem. Hands down the best Mexican restaurant. The tortillas soup is my fav.

Beautiful carvings and vibrant paintings all over creating a welcoming atmosphere, very family friendly.The staff was the most welcoming I had experienced in a long time. Service was just excellent! As for the food; delicious, flavorful, very fresh and, authentic Mexican comfort food that came in generous servings. My new favorite Mexican restaurant!

We were headed home to NC when we stopped here to eat. We had our two dogs with us, so we ordered to go and eat in the car. It was raining, so the patio was not an option. The burrito I had was huge and very flavourful. My wife got 3 enchiladas. She said they were the best she ever had. We both thought the salsa was missing something for our taste, my wife makes her own, and we prefer heat. We also understand this is a restaurant, and they need to cater to the masses. We would not hesitate to return when we are back in the area.
