Captain D's - Kingsport

My boyfriend ordered the grilled tilapia, but it was undercooked and inedible. However, the okra was tasty, which is why I'm giving this place two stars.

This was our first visit to the restaurant, and overall, it was just okay. The customer service was good, and the place was mostly clean. However, the food did not quite meet our expectations for the price. Most of the menu consisted of fried items, and the heaviness of it lingered. My girlfriend ordered the broccoli and found it extremely bland, lacking flavor. The mac and cheese tasted like it was from a box, and the cornmeal-fried fish needed more seasoning for better taste. My daughter had the chicken tenders and felt they had been fried a bit too long. Also, when she used the women's restroom, it was not cleaned well. I reported this to someone, but it didn't seem to be addressed. Given the overall experience, there's a good chance we won't be returning. We’ll probably stick with Long John Silver's, which offers better flavor.

We ordered the seafood feast family meal, and for under $40, we had one of the best seafood dinners we've ever enjoyed! The service was quick, and everything was delivered hot and cooked to perfection. There was more than enough food for four people! We left very satisfied and incredibly full, and we will definitely stop by again next time we're in the area!

Nothing really wrong with the place, just didn't wow me enough to go higher. Kinda average at everything. Food is higher because I love the lobster rolls. ; good enough for a quick stop on your way somewhere else, but I guess that is all fast food is meant to be

The restaurant is pleasant and tidy. The manager was exceptionally nice and friendly. Overall, it was a great experience for a fast food establishment.
